What is Glazehaus?

Glazehaus began as a nostalgic return to my own childhood. The youngest of three girls (can't forget my younger brother), we had a yellow jacket. Worn and loved by us all, and often still talked about. It went through every season, and every situation you could think of - sun wind rain hail snow. The Yellow Jacket prevailed. 

The Glazehaus ethos is built on Current Nostalgia.

What is current nostalgia?

Well, when our Mum bought the Yellow Jacket, she was living in the current moment. She never knew this Yellow Jacket would be talked about for years to come, etched in my and my siblings memories. In that current moment, she made nostalgia for her children. It's a timestamp for us all - taking us right back to when it was each of our jackets. Different years, different stages, different experiences. A decade of joy.

I want Glaze Haus to product high quality, year round clothing for kids, that will be handed down and enjoyed for years to come. 

What else can I tell you about Glazehaus? Well, we have some non-negotiables. 

Kid first clothing
Kids should be kids. Glazehaus will produce clothes, full of colour and creativity that kids can that expresses their identities fully while wearing. This brand is fun, not super polished or edited, embodying how a child sees the world; no limits, and full of wonder.

Kid first marketing
We sell to adults - not children. So we won't be using children's faces for advertising. There will be no photoshoots, or posed and prepped outfits. If, as a customer you would like to share photos with us as your children play and use our product, great! We will always protect your child's identity if shared on our channels or with our Community.

Kid first quality
I want to see kids in 20 years time wearing Glazehaus! All of our products are made in small quantities to ensure the best quality possible. They are made lovingly, ethically, and as sustainably as possible in Portugal.
